The Chamber was established in Mumbai, to facilitate trade between India and China. It aims to improve trade relations with Chinese speaking countries like Hong Kong and Macau, who were once a part of China. The Chamber aspires to improve bilateral relations between India and China, through the exchange of business delegations, by helping channelize the investments, made in India by the Chinese enterprises, by improving the industrial, scientific and technological collaborations, between the four countries, etc. The Chamber is a member of CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade), the HKTDC (Hong Kong Trade Development Council) and ICC-India (International Chamber of Commerce – India).
The ICCCI – Mumbai aims to assist all upcoming Indian entrepreneurs and established Business Enterprises, who wish to establish business relations in China. The Chamber also provides thorough information about the Indian as well as Chinese market, taxation policy in China, important rules regarding the import and export of goods, etc. to its members. The membership to this Chamber can be obtained, by submitting a duly filled application form, along with payment of membership fee.
The ‘Chindia club’ conducts Chinese language courses for its members, to overcome all the hurdles experienced by them, during business transactions. It also aims to provide insight on Chinese and Indian culture.
The Investment Promotion Agency, China and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council are the two agencies, which are in collaboration with ICCCI.
The ICCI has two publications, the ICCCI News Bulletins, which is published every two months and is used as a platform by all the ICCCI members, to advertise their goods and services, and the second one being ‘India News’, a quarterly publication, which gives an insight on the various developments, that take place in the CCPIT (China Council for Promotion of International Trade).
