The IFBF aims to improve bilateral ties between India and Finland, through exchange of ideas and business information, in the areas of business, trade and investment sector. It provides assistance to all Finnish companies, who wish to establish their businesses in India. The IFBF also organizes business meetings, trade fairs, events, seminars, etc to help both the Indian, as well as the Finnish companies, to establish good global networks. IFBF was established in the year 2005, by the Embassy of Finland in India, along with Finpro Finland Trade Center (FFTC), and was registered under the Indian government, in the year 2011.
IFBF aims to remove all obstacles in the trade and business investments, between India and Finland and also enhance the Indo-Finnish business relations.
The Annual General Meeting is held every year, to discuss and make decisions, on the annual budget, annual balance sheet and the general business report. The meeting is also held to discuss future activities and events, which will be conducted by the IFBF.
The board members of the IFBF are elected every second year, of the Annual General Meeting, who then choose the Chairman, the Vice - Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer from amongst themselves.
The members of IFBF can establish good global contact network, and attend all the business meetings, delegation visits and seminars organized by the association. Membership is open to all the Finnish companies based in India, and to all the Indian companies based in Finland, by submitting a completely filled application form, along with the membership fee.
