IKAA promotes India in Korea, and Korea in India, through multifarious activities and exchange of art, culture, science and technology. Korean corporations are consolidating their hold on Indian consumers, particularly in the consumer durable segment. The number of Indians choosing Korea as a destination for business, conferences and tourism, is on the rise. The Delhi - Mumbai Industrial Corridor, is creating waves, both in Korea and India. In a nutshell, there is renewed interest for each other, in both the countries. The high level summit would revisit and reassess Indo - Korean cultural, economic and diplomatic ties, and help evolve new strategies for enhancing and strengthening awareness and understanding, at different levels, with focus on people-to-people relations.
There are five categories of membership – Life membership, Corporate membership, Individual membership, Honorary membership and Exchange membership.
Signatories to the Memorandum of Association, shall be Members for Life, of the Association. A nominal one - time subscription fee should be paid, to become a Lifetime Member of this Association.
The Board of Governors, admit any entity (Institution, Statutory Sorporation, Joint Stock Company) as Corporate Member of the Association, or a Registered Society, on payment of membership, as specified by the Board. The subscription fee for the corporation, would be decided on a case - to - case basis, by the Governing Body.
The Board of Governors may, on application of the prescribed form, admit as an individual or a public representative, on being duly proposed and seconded, by any two existing members, and on payment of membership fee, of Rs 10,000, or as prescribed by the Board.
The Board of Governors may invite any person, who has rendered distinguished service, in area of the objectives of the Association, to be an Honorary Member of the Association. Honorary Members shall have the status of Life Members, without paying any subscription fee.
Members on deputation from the sister organization in Korea, should not exceed more than five (number of members), and they would be known as the "Exchange Members.”
