Investopedia lists Germany as the 4th top economy of the world and The Telegraph adds, that it has a GDP of $3.84 trillion. It is the world’s largest exporter of machinery, chemical products, household appliances and equipment, vehicles, etc. Germany, with its distinct business etiquettes, is a key member of the European Union and is one of the top leaders in scientific research and innovation in the whole world.
Indians and Germans have a long and diverse history of being associated with one another, since the 1700s, to be precise. However, the two countries celebrated 60 years of diplomatic ties in 2011-12. These partnerships are so strong, that many German companies are household names in India. The largest 120 German companies employ 1,73,000 people directly and 3,00,000 people indirectly through agents, vendors, suppliers, etc
It is estimated that the Indo-German trade will soon reach 20 billion Euros
, as many more to the 1500 German companies shall be added. In 2015, German imports from India amounted to $7 billion and the exports from Germany to India amounted to $11 billion. Owing to such exhorbitant statistics, there is a growing demand for German translators in India. Among the EU countries, India seems to have a strong relationship with Germany.
