Where the tall sky-scrapers are not merely a reflection of advancement in technology, but also a symbol of a never-back-down attitude, which has stood tall, amidst numerous natural disasters, war aftermaths, and other such challenging situations. The ties between India and Japan can be traced to the year 1903 when the Japan – India Association was founded, with the motive of strengthening a bond of friendship and promoting cultural and business relations. According to The Hindu, Mr.Hidehiro Ishiura, Director General of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) stated that, the number of Japanese establishments in India rose from 2,542 in 2013 to 3,961 in the 2014. The state of Maharashtra tops the list of Japanese companies with around 637 establishments, which is closely followed up by Tamil Nadu, with around 577. The Indo – Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, established in 1989, is the only bilateral chamber for strengthening relations between the two countries.
